A Card Formula Goes Patriotic

To celebrate this patriotic holiday, I created a small batch of red, white and blue cards, perfect for any occasion.

idea deck vol 5

A few weeks ago, Tricia filmed a short video demonstrating how our idea decks work by sharing two formulas: one for a 2-page scrapbook layout and one card formula.

Tricia’s cards were made using the 8 of Hearts card formula and Botanicals papers. You can take a closer look at photos of her cards on her blog post.

I used the same formula to create today’s cards. Just by following the simple instructions (the card formula starts around 6:34 on the video), I was able to convert three 12×12 papers into six A2 greeting cards with very little waste.  Buh-bye scraps!

You can see my cards look very different from Tricia’s, just by changing the papers, stamps and embellishments used. (Oh, and a teensy change in placement of a couple of the elements.)

I encourage you to give this card formula (or the scrapbook page formula) a try.

Wishing you a safe (and creative) weekend!
